Trinity Lutheran Church – Warrenton, VA
A local mission congregation in suburban/rural northern Virginia (45 miles west of Washington DC), Trinity Lutheran Church has been in existence for six years. Its motto is: “We don’t change the Bible, the Bible changes us.”
Evangelism in the community takes the form of personal visits to homes, nursing facilities, and hospitals, and in community engagement through street fairs, Stations of the Cross down Main St., yard sales, car washes and participation by its members in local community and charity events. Trinity is now part of Warrenton Gospel Partnership, a group of Bible-believing churches which holds a VBS-type event called Stories in the Park twice a year, and it also holds a Bible Reading Marathon in the fall.
Trinity has grown to an average Sunday attendance of sixty and therefore this mission congregation seeks support from other churches and individuals around the country to expand its facilities this year.
Trinity has applied for but never received a NALC Mission Grant. The Ministry and Mission Standards team has reviewed its financial information. It was incorporated in Virginia in June 2012. No audit is currently in place.
