The North American Lutheran Church is committed to moving away from a solely institutional understanding of the Church, to the biblical commission to be a community of followers of Jesus who focus on being disciples and making disciples. We have developed an initiative or strategy we call “Life-to-Life Discipleship”!

“Defining and Pursuing Discipleship”
The NALC’s Commission on Theology and Doctrine released this paper written by Dr. Nathan Howard Yoder, an NALC pastor and a member of the Commission on Theology and Doctrine, in June 2015. Dr. Yoder wrote this paper in response to a request from the Commission. This document is intended as a study resource for NALC members and congregations.
